SATURNINA formed in São Paulo around 2015, with vocalist Saturna working alongside guitarist Lucas Melo, bassist Bruno Nunes, and drummer Danilo Oliveira. Their sound pulls from indie rock and electronic textures, with some Brazilian rhythmic touches in the mix.
In 2017, the track "Antídoto" featuring rapper Jéf caught attention and helped the band reach a wider audience. That same year they put out a self-titled EP, followed by the album "Sintonia Mortal" in 2019. Other songs like "Drinks" and "Gato Preto" show their range within that atmospheric, mood-driven style.
Saturna's vocals tend toward the introspective and evocative, which gives their music a particular emotional weight. The band hasn't chased a polished pop formula, instead building songs around mood and texture.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
