Save Ferris formed in Orange County, California in 1995, taking their name from the John Hughes film 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off.' Singer Monique Powell and bassist Brian Mashburn started the band, which released its debut EP 'Introducing Save Ferris' the following year.
They also recorded a cover of 'Come On Eileen' that became popular in their live sets.
Powell left the band in 1999, and Save Ferris continued with different lineups for a few more years before disbanding in 2003. They've reunited occasionally since then, with Brian Mashburn remaining involved and Brittney Ramos joining on vocals in 2015.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
