An American band that blended classical arrangements with apocalyptic themes across six studio albums.
If you want to hear their sound in one go, try 'Marriage Of The Lamb' or 'Force Of The Entity.' Both have that mix of heavy riffing and classical arrangement that defined them.
Saviour Machine carved out a space where progressive metal could be both musically ambitious and spiritually direct. Songs like 'Marriage Of The Lamb' and 'Antichrist III - The King Of Babylon' show how they built heavy guitar riffs and keyboard layers around biblical imagery. They never fit neatly into mainstream categories, which is exactly what gave their work its particular gravity.
The band formed in the late 1980s around vocalist Eric Clayton and released their self-titled debut in 1989. Their later albums, including 'Savior' in 2007 and 'Enigma' in 2010, continued exploring spiritual themes through layered compositions until activity tapered off after 2010.
