Stare into the mirror

you don't blink your eyes,

The background dissapears

and you take on a disguise.

Your brow swells up

Your chin goes round.

Between your hairy ears you hear a

laughing screeching sound.

You forget about your clothes,

run out to the street.

You got hair on your butt and

fingers on your feet.

But don't let the sound

hypnotize your mind.

Listen up son,

take this advice of mine:

Keep him down underground where he

can't make a sound.

There was this friend of mine,

we were in a strange place.

He stared into the mirror and he

saw his monkey's face.

We went down to the club,

proceeded with the show.

But then I saw him flirting with a

girl he didn't know.

So I blocked in quick and said

"Hey man what's the matter?"

I can see this little girlie wants to

be your special flower.

But someone's gonna kill you

if she finds out what you're doing.

You've been listening to Your monkey

now you're heading straight for ruin.

If he starts to hypnotise, then you

got to slap him wise.

Descended from your past,

he causes trouble fast,

all those primal fears,

you'll be shedding tears.

If you ever see your monkey,

you got to look away.

Think of something positive,

don't let him have his say.

He's just an apparition of your scariest dreams.

Feeds on all your weaknesses and

goes to your extremes.

So remember where you're coming from.

TRUST WHO YOU ARE!

You got to keep that beast at bay

You don't need another scar.

Or you'll have another monkey night

and wake up in the morning.
