Seagull Orchestra

Seagull Orchestra came together in Seahaven, a coastal town where six musicians met at a local festival. They shared an interest in ethereal melodies and harmonies, which became the foundation for their collective sound. Their song "Sailboats" reflects this approach with its layered instrumentation and atmospheric quality.

Anya Lark handles lead vocals and writes much of their material, while Ethan Reed contributes guitar work and co-writes songs. The group includes Harper Jones on cello, Willow Chen on percussion, Oliver Hayes on violin, and Sebastian Grey on keyboards. This lineup allows for a blend of classical elements with more contemporary arrangements.

Early on, some listeners found their sound unconventional and difficult to categorize. These moments didn't stop them from continuing to develop their music, which tends to avoid strict genre boundaries in favor of creating specific moods and textures.
