Archive material and source history
Seapony formed in Philadelphia around 2007, starting with Danny Rowland and Gioia Parmigiani writing songs together. They put out a debut EP called 'Go With Me' in 2009, followed by a self-titled album in 2010. That album included 'Dreaming,' a song that became a clear marker of their hazy, guitar-based sound.
The band's lineup included Ian Murray on guitar and Evan Sutton on drums. Sutton left in 2013 and was replaced by Chris Hale. They kept releasing music, including a 2016 album called 'New Material' that some felt moved away from their earlier style. Other songs from their catalog include 'Where We Go' and 'Blue Star.'
