Sebastião do Rojão is a Brazilian band that formed around Sebastião da Silva's vocals. Their debut album 'Encontros e Desencontros' came out in 1995, followed by records like 'Canções de Amor e Dor' in 1998 and an acoustic release in 2005.
They work with guitarist Ricardo dos Santos, bassist Felipe de Oliveira, and drummer Gabriel Mendes. Their songs draw from samba and bossa nova, sometimes touching pop and rock, with lyrics that lean toward the poetic.
You might know 'Chorando Por Alguém,' which became something of a standard for its emotional pull. Other tracks include 'Ela é Vegetariana,' 'Mestre Chegou,' 'O Último Pau de Arara,' and 'Xexéu de Bananeira.'
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
