SEENROOT formed in São Paulo in 2012, with João Cintra on vocals and guitar, Paula Sterlini on harmonies and various instruments, Lucas Vasconcelos on bass, and Caio Barreto on drums. They put out three albums: 'Flores' in 2015, 'Luz' in 2018, and 'Nó' in 2021. Their song 'Sweetheart' came out around the time of 'Luz' and got some attention.
Their music pulls from indie rock and folk, with some bossa nova in the mix. They've played shows in Brazil and elsewhere. The band's original drummer, Rodrigo Mola, left in 2017, and Barreto took over.
