They put out their first album in 1975, which included the song 'Amanhecer.' That track became a radio staple, its melody catching on while the lyrics spoke to a kind of hopefulness.
The government censored their work and labeled them subversives. They kept recording through it, putting out albums like 'Construindo' in 1976 and 'Canções' in 1978. Other songs from their catalog include 'Garota Dos Meus Sonhos,' 'Guria,' and 'Lição.'
The band broke up in 1989. Their sound, built around those four members, mixed pop melody with more thoughtful arrangements and lyrics that didn't shy away from the world around them.
