Senhor Kavera came out of Salvador, Bahia in the late 1990s, with Marcio Mello on vocals. Their early material mixed Brazilian rhythms with more contemporary sounds.
Their 2003 single "Cede À Sede" got them wider attention. Other songs like "Entre Bebidas e Cigarros" and "Johnnie, Jack & Jose" followed a similar vein of melodic, introspective writing.
They put out albums like Sabor Tropical in 2005 and Negro Amor in 2010. At different points they worked with artists including Gilberto Gil and Caetano Veloso.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
