Senseless was a hard rock band from New York City that gained attention in the late 1990s. Their song '2009' became something of an anthem, appearing on their 1999 debut album 'Chaos Theory.' The band was fronted by vocalist Jimmy Riot.
Their music had a raw, abrasive quality that drew from punk and metal. This sound, combined with aggressive lyrics and a confrontational stage presence, earned them a cult following but also regular criticism. They faced obscenity charges and venue bans during those early years.
