Seppia formed in Porto, Portugal in 2003 around João Paulo Cunha on vocals and guitar, Tiago Correia on bass, and Nuno Carvalho on drums. They played alternative and indie rock with an introspective feel, sometimes working with other musicians like Samuel Úria.
Their song "A Realidade Se Torna Um Sonho, Quando Você Está Aqui" became particularly well-known for its themes of love and connection. Other tracks like "A Despedida" and "A Última Balada De Outono" followed similar emotional territory.
They performed at festivals including Super Bock Super Rock in 2006. The band's music stayed grounded in Portuguese alternative rock without much dramatic flourish.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
