The Silent Apocalypse

There's a storm brewing in the distance, the portent you fear

Elusive winds beckoning you closer

To a fate that awaits, to a future so bleak

There's a hell breathing fire, a world in eternal flames

Acid rain that corrodes and floods that erode

The surface of this man-made world

And there once was a dream

Of blackened skies crystallised by final peace

Of humanity's morality so binding and true

But arm yourself in apathy, don't misconstrue

Man and woman, child and beast

We all dine at the devil's feast

Ignorant preachers and callous priests

They lead us astray

Blind faith is our hell on earth

The apocalypse of fear in belief

Visions of Eden

Transcending the lie

Follow the light to a darker space

And stare into Heaven's distorted face, oh!

Burnt at the stakes, we are sinners that cannot repent

Stoned to the death by our masters who will not relent

Dying for their pious flaws

As righteousness endures
