Serina is a Japanese electro-pop band that formed around 2010. Their song 'Biwako shuukou no uta' became their most recognizable track, drawing on the cultural imagery of Lake Biwa. They released a self-titled debut album in 2012, followed by 'Biwako no Uta' in 2014 and 'Renaissance' in 2020.
The band includes Shiori Niiyama on lead vocals, Chihiro Nishiwaki on guitar and vocals, Misaki Asada on bass and vocals, Yuuka Morimoto on keyboard and vocals, and Ayaka Matsuda on drums. Niiyama took a break from the group in 2016 due to health concerns, but the band continued performing.
Other songs in their catalog include 'Amai yoru,' 'Hana, midare.,' 'Kieru omoi,' and 'Kokoro e No Hizashi.' Their 2018 performance of 'Biwako shuukou no uta' at a festival in China drew criticism from some fans.
