Er is iets verschrikkelijks gebeurd. Ruud Lubbers nam zijn dienstauto en scheurde naar
Wassenaar. Hij kwam aan bij de villa van Onno Ruding en hij zag dat de deur open kon. Dat
was gek. Hij liep door de geopende deur Onno's studeerkamer binnen en daar zag hij Onno in
kleermakerszit op zijn bureau.
Onno was in trance en zo te zien kreeg hij van gene zijde cijfers door. Ruud kwam dichterbij
en riep: "Onno", maar Onno was helemaal in spiritistische trance. Sommige woorden kon
Ruud met moeite verstaan: "Oh Professor Heertje, nog een keertje".
En opeens schiet er als een flits door het hoofd van Lubbers: Het zal toch niet waar zijn. Het
zal toch niet zo zijn, dat drie-en-een-half jaar kabinet Lubbers voor niets is geweest. Hij zegt:
"Onno, hoeveel miljard moeten we nu nog bezuinigen om het financieringstekort terug te
dringen?"
Onno doet de ogen open en zegt:
"Krijg nou allemaal de kolere
Val voor mijn part allemaal dood
Ik heb geen zin meer in calculeren
Ik heb alles fout begroot
We gaan een broodje shoarma kopen
Ik heb zo'n vreselijke trek
Ik weet een tent, tot vier uur open
Ik betaal met een ongedekte cheque
Ruud, wij willen naar de lichte vrouwen
Ik wil twee zachte armen om me heen
Je vinger op's lands knip te houden
Dat maakt je zo verdomd alleen"
Ze gingen zuipen als een ketter
Vraten tosti's op de pof
Konden eindelijk naar de letter
Zeiken op het Binnenhof
Naakt de Hofvijver ingedoken
Belletje trekken op Huis ten Bosch
Bij droge Ruding, dat hoog-IQ-ding
Schoot toch nog 't palletje los
Arm in arm, elkander vast omsloten
Lallend door de Haagse binnenstad
Het land volledig naar de kloten
Maar nog nooit zo'n lol gehad
