Aan de straatstenen nog niet kwijt
Een kennis zei me, toen ik naar
De ed'le dichtkunst vroeg:
'Ik woon in de Constantijn Huijgens
En dat is voor mij genoeg'
En Miep vond zich ook een belezen tiep
Omdat ze in het Vondelpark sliep
En gevraagd naar des dichters voornaam
'Joost mag het weten' riep
Een schaarse nicht, door een kaars verlicht
Valt bij Boutens nog in zwijm
Verder is ons volkje puur
Tegen elke literatuur
Maar gaan we actie voeren
Dan doen we dat op rijm
