Archive material and source history
Seto Koji formed in 2006 with Shinya Seto on vocals and guitar, Hiroaki Koji on bass, and Kazuhiro Kudo on drums. They started playing folk and rock, though the details of their early years are sparse.
In 2009, their record label shut down, which forced them to find a new path. A few years later, in 2013, Shinya Seto was arrested for drug possession, an event that disrupted their work for a time.
They kept making music through those years, and in 2016 released their fifth album, 'Blueprint.' That album included 'Yasashisa,' a song that became widely known in Japan. The band's sound had grown more introspective by then, dealing with themes like love and loss.
