Setor 5 formed in São Paulo in the late 1990s, a Brazilian rock band that came together around street culture and social themes. Their 2002 single 'A Vizinha' became a breakout hit, a sharp take on voyeurism and urban privacy that put them on the map nationally.

Their debut album 'Quem Tem Medo do Escuro?' arrived in 2003, mixing rap, rock, and funk into a sound that felt grounded in city life. Later records like 'O Medo do Fim do Mundo' (2007) and 'A Verdade É uma Ilusão' (2013) kept that approach, with songs like 'Som do Mar' showing their range.

The band's lineup included André Costas on vocals and guitar, Gustavo Taba on bass, Luciano Alves on drums, and André Esteves on keyboards. Their music often leaned into social commentary, which sometimes stirred up public debate.
