They followed that with 'Gypsy Soul' in 2010, which leaned more acoustic, and 'Broken Promises' in 2013, which went heavier on the rock side. 'La Forza del Destino' arrived in 2016 with orchestral arrangements, and their 2019 album 'The Ballad of the Italian Cowboy' was a concept piece about an Italian immigrant in the American West.
Tortelli's lyrics often dealt with political and social issues, which sometimes stirred things up. In 2012 he was arrested on drug possession charges, an event that complicated things for the band for a while.
