Severino Roadie came from Araguari in Minas Gerais, where he started playing guitar and writing songs about the kind of love that doesn't work out. He put out his first album in 2010, and the title track 'Essa Nunca Vai Tocar' caught on with people who recognized that feeling. The song got some pushback for being too direct, but it's what put him on the map.

His music sits in the sertanejo tradition, but he's kept it pretty lean and personal.
