Shakka

Shakka is the stage name of Michael Omari, a London-based singer and songwriter. He first gained attention with his 2014 track 'When Will I See You Again,' a soulful R&B cut that found an audience through its emotional delivery and clean production. That song remains his best-known work, though he's also collaborated with artists like AlunaGeorge on 'Man Down' and JME on the 'Say Nada' remix.

His early material included the 2012 EP 'Lost & Found' and a self-titled EP in 2014. The music generally works within contemporary R&B and pop, with some reggae influences. He writes about relationships and everyday life without much theatrical flair, which gives his songs a grounded, conversational quality.
