Shane Tyler formed his band in the late 1980s, playing a mix of melodic rock and blues that built a following in their hometown. Their debut album 'Echoes of the Heart' came out in 2001 and included the song 'Paris In The Heart,' which became a hit.
Tyler's music drew from blues, rock 'n' roll, and country influences, with guitar work that showed traces of Jimi Hendrix. He released several more albums through the 2000s, including 'The Way You Move' in 2003 and 'City Lights' in 2006.
In 2004, Tyler was arrested on drug possession charges, which brought some public scrutiny alongside his growing recognition. He kept recording after that, putting out 'Back to the Blues' in 2009 and 'The Last Waltz' in 2012.
