The band's name comes from the three-headed dog of Greek myth, and their debut album 'Ashes to Ashes' came out in 2008. That record included the song 'Cerberus Battle,' which became one of their early standouts.
McPherson's voice drives much of the band's sound, and other tracks like 'Taste the Blood' and 'Devils Never Cry' show his range within their aggressive style. Cerberus Battle followed their debut with several more albums, including 'Blood for Blood' in 2011 and 'Rise of the Fallen' in 2015. Their music often drew attention for its intensity, both in the lyrics and in their live shows.
By 2016, the band had experienced some lineup changes, including the departure of their original drummer. They kept recording, putting out 'Kingdom Come' in 2018. McPherson's work with Cerberus Battle remains his primary musical outlet, anchored by those early songs that first defined their sound.
