Shawty Lo was Carlos Walker, a rapper from Atlanta who put out his first mixtape, 'Units in the City,' in 2003. He broke through a few years later with 'Feels Good To Be Here,' a single that got heavy radio play and landed high on the charts. That track, along with songs like 'Million Dollar' and '100,000,' gave him a solid run in Southern hip-hop during the late 2000s and early 2010s.
He released several albums, including 'I'm tha Man' in 2008 and 'Boyz n da Hood' the following year. His work often featured other Atlanta rappers, and he kept putting out music through the 2010s. Shawty Lo died in 2016.
