Shinno Mika formed in 2002 with vocalist Mika Nakashima, guitarist Hiromi Nishida, bassist Kazuomi Watanabe, and drummer Satoshi Takamizawa. Their song 'Kaette Koiyo' became particularly well-known. In 2007, Nakashima was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease that paused her singing for a time, but she returned to performing in 2009.
In 2012, Nakashima was arrested for drug possession, which affected the band's standing. She later expressed regret and resumed performing. Other songs from their catalog include 'Misao Zake,' 'Anta no Osaka,' 'Michi,' and 'Muhou Matsuno Ishou.'
