Shop Boyz came out of Atlanta in 2007 with 'Party Like A Rockstar,' a track that caught on quickly. The trio was Jerome 'J-Bo' Bettis, Darnell 'D-Roc' Robinson, and Marques 'Yung Joc' Houston. Their first album, 'Rockstar Mentality,' arrived the next year and included the song 'Imma Ball.'
They worked with Ludacris and Lil' Jon on that album. Later records like 'Diamond Girl' and 'Follow Me' had songs such as 'Baby Girl.' The group went on hiatus around 2010 and came back together a few years later. In 2019, J-Bo was arrested on a murder charge that was later dropped, which paused their activity.
