Shortbus was a five-piece alternative rock band from Los Angeles that formed in the early 2000s. The lineup included Scott Klopfenstein on vocals and guitar, Mark Hathaway on bass, James Elkington on guitar, Joey Waronker on drums, and Greg Kurstin on keyboards.
Their 2001 single 'In the End' became a radio hit, helping push their self-titled debut album that same year. They followed with two more albums, 'The Answer' in 2003 and 'The Sun and the Moon' in 2006.
They announced their breakup in 2009.
