Shory formed in Belo Horizonte in 1989, with Rogério Flausino on vocals, Oscar Tostes on guitar, Leo Jaime on bass, and Juninho on drums. Their debut album 'Sonho Real' came out in 1993 and included songs like 'Piuí Abacaxi' and 'Assim Você Mata o Papai.' They followed it with albums such as 'Falando Sério' and 'Vem Pra Cá.'
In 2002, Flausino was arrested for cocaine possession, which created some turbulence for the band. He later worked on rehabilitation. The group kept recording, and in 2012 they released 'Foi Tão Bom' with Tamires Souza. Other songs in their catalog include 'Maravilhoso Te Amar' and 'Mundo de Amor.'
