Showtek

Showtek is a Dutch electronic music duo from Breda, formed in 2001 by brothers Sjoerd and Wouter Janssen. They started making high-energy dance tracks, though it took over a decade before one really broke through.

That track was "Cannonball (Earthquake)" featuring Matthew Koma, which came out in 2014. It landed in the top 10 in several countries and became a club staple, known for its big basslines and Koma's vocal hook. Other singles like "Booyah!" and "Here We Fucking Go!" followed a similar loud, festival-ready template.

There was a legal dispute with a former manager in 2015 that paused some touring, and they've faced occasional plagiarism chatter, which they've denied. They kept releasing music through the 2010s, with tracks like "Believer" and "Bad," but nothing ever quite matched the reach of that 2014 hit.
