Siamés

Siamés formed in Madrid in 2016, with Martin Alonso on vocals and guitar, Pablo Serrano on bass, and Jaime García on drums. They started playing small venues, building a following with their atmospheric, melancholic sound. Their debut album came out in 2018, followed by a second one in 2020 called 'Bailar en el Vacío.'

Their song 'The Wolf' became a breakout track, known for its haunting melody and themes of isolation. Other songs like 'Mr. Fear' and 'Summer Nights' show their consistent style of introspective lyrics and moody arrangements. In 2019, there was some discussion around 'The Wolf' using a sample from Moby's 'Porcelain' without clear authorization, which brought up questions about sampling practices.

They've played festivals and toured, performing live in a way that feels intimate and emotionally direct. Their music doesn't try to be uplifting; it sits in that space of melancholy and connection, which has found its audience without needing grand statements or dramatic career arcs.
