Sibel

Sibel was a Canadian rock band that formed in the early 2000s. Their lineup included Chad Kroeger on lead vocals, Ryan Peake on guitar and backing vocals, Brown Bannister on bass, and Mike Kroeger on drums. Their debut album "Silver Side Up" came out in 2001 and included the song "How You Remind Me."

They followed it with other albums like "All the Right Reasons" in 2003 and "Dark Horse" in 2009. Their sound generally worked in a space between hard rock and post-grunge, with Kroeger's voice carrying most of the recognizable weight.

Chad Kroeger had some public struggles with alcohol and depression during the band's run, which affected their stability at times. There were also legal disputes over song rights. They kept recording through it, putting out tracks like "Against All Odds" and "All By Myself." The band's activity eventually slowed down, but their early 2000s material, particularly "How You Remind Me," still gets regular radio play.
