Songs like 'Killing Ourselves To Feel' and 'City Lights' captured their raw approach.
Their live shows were known for being chaotic, and Richards's lyrics often took a confrontational stance. In 1981, their single 'Ace High and the Crowns' faced censorship for its content. The band's lineup included Johnny "Lizard" Smith on guitar, Mark "Animal" Jones on bass, and Tommy "Thrash" Wilson on drums.
Sick City didn't last long as a group, but their records found an audience with listeners drawn to punk's harder edges. Tracks such as 'Moving, Not Moving Forward' and 'Smiles & Cries' reflect the tense, urgent sound they developed during those few years in the early 1980s.
