Siege of Hate formed in Porto Alegre, Brazil in 1997, playing a mix of black metal and punk. The band's members included Vinícius de Oliveira on vocals and bass, João Luiz dos Santos on guitars, and Marco Antônio de Almeida on drums.
Their debut album 'Christus Sathanas' came out in 2002, followed by 'Destruição' in 2006. They recorded covers of other bands' material too, including 'Hate (Sarcófago Cover)' in 2008 and 'Bombers (Motorhead Cover)' at some point.
Their lyrics often dealt with satanic themes, which drew criticism from religious groups. The band maintained a raw, aggressive sound throughout their recordings, with songs like 'Bosnia' and 'Black Widow' appearing in their catalog.
Siege of Hate developed a cult following in extreme metal circles, particularly among listeners drawn to their uncompromising blend of genres. Their live shows were known for their intensity.
