Silveira e Barrinha were a Brazilian duo active in the 1970s, with Silveira Nascimento on vocals and Carlos Barrinha on guitar and vocals. Their debut album in 1974 included the song 'Linda Cigana'. They worked with composer Francis Hime on their 1976 album 'Encontro'.
Their music sometimes touched on themes of poverty and injustice, which led to some friction with authorities at the time. They kept performing, and their later work included the 1978 album 'Raíces', which drew from Romani heritage, and the more acoustic 'Voz e Violão' in 1980.
