Silver Fins formed in New York City around 2005 with Joshua Hayes on vocals and guitar, Amelia Rose on bass, Ethan Carter on drums, and Luke Taylor on keyboards. Their debut EP was called 'Chasing Shadows.' In 2008, they released the album 'Waiting So Long,' which included the title track that got radio play and helped build their audience.
In 2010, Joshua Hayes was arrested for drug possession, which created some public trouble for the band. They put out 'A Silent Sea' in 2012, and later released 'Echoes of the Past' in 2015.
