Silver Fist

Silver Fist formed in Argentina in the early 2000s with Mario Ian on vocals, Gonzalo Villagra on guitar, Javier Retamozo on bass, and José Bartolotta on drums. They put out their first album 'Sálvame' in 2003, followed by 'Histeria' in 2005. That second album included 'Aunque no estes aquí,' a song that connected with listeners and became their most recognized track.

Their music leans toward heavy rock with melodic touches. Other songs like 'Ave Fénix,' 'Cielo o Infierno,' and 'Armagedón' show their range from anthemic rock to more reflective material. They released several more albums over the next decade, including 'En Vivo' in 2007, 'Mundo' in 2010, and 'Leyenda' in 2014.

In 2006, a radio host criticized some of their lyrics as promoting violence, which the band disputed. They argued their songs were about real struggles rather than advocating for it. This was one of the few public controversies they faced as they built their following in the Argentine rock scene.
