Silvio Brito is a Brazilian singer-songwriter from Araruama, Rio de Janeiro. His song 'Poema do Amigo' came out in 1978 and became known for its straightforward lyrics about friendship. He's also recorded tracks like 'Do Jeito Que o Diago Gosta' and 'O Que É Meu É Teu'.
He's worked with other Brazilian musicians including Paulo César Pinheiro and João Bosco. In the mid-1990s, there was some public discussion about his song 'Coisa Linda' and questions about its origins, though he kept making music afterward.
His first album was called 'Tudo Azul' in 1978. More recently, a collection titled 'O Melhor de Silvio Brito' appeared in 2019. He performs with a band that includes Fábio Santanna on guitar, Léo Vidal on bass, Marcelo Costa on drums, and Anderson Queiroz on keyboards.
