Símil Cama

Símil Cama formed in Madrid in 2004 with Magalí Sare on vocals and guitar, Miguel "Miki" Lorenzo on keyboards and guitar, and Miguel "Maki" Nieto on bass and vocals. They started putting out albums a few years later, beginning with 2008's A Veces, which gave them their first real attention. That record and the ones that followed, like No Saber Nada and Casa, worked with a quiet, folk-leaning sound and lyrics that felt personal and reflective.

Their songs, including "Ángeles" and "Fórmula," often circle around themes of uncertainty, home, and the passage of time. The music stays fairly intimate, mixing acoustic elements with some subtle electronic touches. In 2010, Magalí Sare was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease, which led to a break in their activity. They came back together afterward and released Contracciones in 2018.
