Simplu & Andra were a Romanian pop duo formed when singer Andra joined the band Simplu in 2001. The band Simplu had been started earlier by Cristi Chivu and Adrian Simionescu. Their debut album 'O Secundă' came out in 2002 and included songs like 'Te Vreau Lângă Mine' and 'Sori.'
They're best known for the song 'Dracula, My Love,' which came out in 2003. The idea for the song reportedly came from a visit to Bran Castle, which is associated with Vlad the Impaler. The track blends a modern love story with that historical folklore.
After their debut, they released more albums including 'De Dragoste' in 2004 and 'S.O.S.' in 2006. The duo's work together placed them firmly in Romania's pop landscape of the early 2000s.
