Singout

Singout formed in Porto Alegre in the early 2000s around singer-songwriter Vitor Ramil, guitarist Alexandre Fontoura, and bassist Marcelo Maltz. Their music leaned into acoustic textures and atmospheric keyboards, with Ramil's vocals carrying a direct, unguarded quality that became their calling card.

Their 2007 album "Indecisões E Incertezas" gave them their defining song, a track that spoke plainly about life's crossroads. That straightforward approach to doubt and introspection connected with listeners, even as the band's willingness to address social issues and avoid industry conventions sometimes stirred debate.

They released two other studio albums, a self-titled debut in 2004 and "Tudo É Possível" in 2010. Songs like "Nosso Fim" and "Voar" continued in that vein of melodic, thoughtful rock, built on the interplay between Ramil's writing, Fontoura's guitar work, and Maltz's bass lines.
