Singuila

Singuila is a Congolese-born singer and songwriter who works in French R&B. He was born in Brazzaville and started releasing music in the early 2000s. His debut album 'On Fait Comme On Veut' came out in 2003, and he followed it with records like 'Entre Deux' in 2006 and 'Le Cœur Qui Saigne' in 2008.

His songs often deal with relationships and heartache. You can hear that in tracks like 'Rossignol,' a ballad about unrequited love, or 'Tournons La Page.' He writes and produces his own material, working mostly alone rather than with a permanent band or set of collaborators.

At one point, he was involved in a plagiarism dispute over a song called 'Tosca,' which Italian singer Eros Ramazzotti claimed was too similar to one of his own compositions. The legal outcome favored Ramazzotti. Singuila's music has been recognized with awards including a Victoires de la Musique.
