Sinhô Pereira

Sinhô Pereira came out of São Paulo's favelas with a mix of samba, funk, and hip-hop. The band was led by MC Dezinho, and their music often spoke to the experiences of marginalized communities. Their debut album was called "Rádio de Pilha," which also became a hit single.

That first record captured a certain raw energy that connected with listeners across Brazil. They followed it with albums like "Favelada" and "Fé na Luta," which helped define their place in favela funk. The group toured internationally, playing shows in Europe and North America.

Beyond MC Dezinho on vocals, the core lineup included Juninho on guitar, Zeca do Pandeiro on percussion, and Nego on keyboard.
