Sininha Lima

Sininha Lima came from Ibirá, a small town in São Paulo, where she grew up singing in Pentecostal churches. Her voice had a raw, emotive quality that caught attention in the early 2000s, leading to her debut album 'Crente Pentecostal' in 2004. The title track became particularly well-known, speaking directly to her Pentecostal faith.

Her music sometimes drew criticism from both religious and secular listeners, with some finding it too worldly and others too explicit. She kept recording through it, putting out albums like 'O Jejum de Daniel' in 2006 and 'Sou Crente' in 2008. Songs like 'Santifica-me' and 'Vem Louvar' continued in that vein of straightforward Pentecostal expression.

She worked with musicians including João Paulo on bass, Anderson Silva on guitar, and Bruno Silva on drums. Later albums included 'A Fé que Transforma' in 2010 and 'O Poder do Sangue' in 2012.
