A Stuttgart band that weathered lineup changes and controversy while building a loyal European audience.
For their sound, try 'Connection' or 'The Storm Broke Loose.' They're straightforward heavy metal from a time when that wasn't easy to pull off in Germany.
Sinner's early albums like 'Touch of Sin' gave German heavy metal a foothold when the scene was struggling. Songs like 'The Storm Broke Loose' became live staples, and they kept touring through lineup shifts and the 'No More Alibis' cover art controversy. Their persistence made them a steady presence in European metal.
They formed in Stuttgart in 1982 and released 'Heavy Metal Breakdown' the next year. After 'Touch of Sin' charted in 1985, they toured Europe, but guitarist Uwe Reitenauer left in 1988 and drummer Frank Rössler in 1993. Mat Sinner kept the band going through those changes.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
