Background notes

Archive material and source history

Sixty Stories formed in Los Angeles in the early 2000s with Nick Brown on vocals and guitar, Darin Bresnitz on guitar, Dave Shapiro on bass, and Patrick Hughes on drums. They put out their first album, 'Transit,' in 2002. The single 'Countdown' from that record got some attention.

After 'Transit,' the band made a couple more albums called 'Midnight in New Hampshire' and 'Surrounded by Lions.' The lineup changed around 2008 when Bresnitz and Shapiro left. Brown and Hughes kept going with new members and released 'Epilogue' and 'Wake Up.'
