Skijonh formed in Stockholm in the early 2000s, with Johan Skiald on vocals and guitar, Karl Johnson on bass, and Henrik Nilsson on drums. Their debut album 'Conforto' came out in 2003, and the title track became their most recognizable song.
Their second album 'Inquietudine' arrived in 2006, and some listeners found it more experimental than their debut. The band kept releasing albums through the 2000s and 2010s, including 'Eufonia' in 2009 and 'Dissonanza' in 2012.
Karl Johnson left the band in 2010, replaced by Erik Svensson on bass. Henrik Nilsson retired from music in 2017, with Mattias Berglund taking over on drums. Johan Skiald has also released solo work under the name The Silent Strider.
