Skilda is a Norwegian electronic duo formed in 2015 by Vidar Kvalshaug and Ivar Nikolaisen in Tromsø. They released their debut EP 'Airfailarin' in 2017, with the title track becoming their most recognized work. Kvalshaug handles vocals and production, while Nikolaisen contributes as a multi-instrumentalist and producer.

Their sound leans toward ambient textures with ethereal vocals, as heard on 'Airfailarin.' They've followed with albums like 'Spectral' and 'Loom,' which incorporated more experimental and folk elements. The duo's creative process often involves improvisation, blending Kvalshaug's background in classical and jazz with Nikolaisen's electronic sound design.

While some have found their music abstract, they've developed a loyal following. Their work remains focused on creating atmospheric electronic compositions rather than chasing commercial trends.
