SkyHell

SkyHell formed in London in the early 2000s, with Anya Celeste on vocals and guitar. Their debut album 'Ashes to Dust' came out in 2005, followed by 'Whispers in the Dark' in 2007. The band's lineup has stayed consistent with Celeste, Ethan Hayes on keyboards, Marcus Reed on bass, and Samuel James on drums.

Their song 'Ask Me Why' from that first album became their most recognizable track. It's a ballad that caught on with listeners, though the band's sound overall tends toward the atmospheric and introspective side of alternative rock. Other songs like 'Brains Explode' and 'Freedom' show a different, more direct energy.

Celeste's personal experiences with depression and anxiety informed some of the writing, giving the music a raw edge.
