Sleaford Mods formed in 2007 as a duo from Sleaford, Lincolnshire, with Jason Williamson handling vocals and Andrew Fearn on production. Their sound is built around Williamson's raw, confrontational delivery over Fearn's minimalist electronic beats, capturing a specific strain of working-class frustration in Britain. Songs like 'Jobseeker' and 'Jason Stop Wanking' became early markers of their approach, direct and unadorned.

Their 2014 album 'Divide and Exit' brought wider attention, followed by records like 'Key Markets' and 'English Tapas'. They've continued releasing music steadily, including 'Eton Alive' in 2019 and 'Spare Ribs' in 2021.
