Snap! came out of the German dance scene in the late 1980s, put together by producers Michael Münzing and Luca Anzilotti. Their first big hit was 'The Power' in 1989, which got a lot of play on dancefloors and radio stations outside Germany.

A year later, the single 'Rhythm Is a Dancer' from their album 'World Power' became an even bigger international hit. That track, with its clear synth line and vocal hook, ended up topping charts in multiple countries and has stayed in rotation at clubs and on throwback playlists ever since.

After the early 1990s, the project saw some lineup changes and kept putting out records, like the 2000 album 'Gimme a Break,' but never quite matched the reach of those first two singles. The core production team kept working, but Snap! as a chart presence gradually receded.
